Dr. Thomas Bächtold, MBA
Wealth Management, Attorney-at-law
Thomas is a strategic advisor and attorney-at-law in Zug. He advises families in strategic governance questions and in their overall wealth strategy. He acts as advisor of Ammer Capital and its clients.
Previously he was Managing Director and Group Head of the Pictet Family Office in Geneva which he built up since beginning of 2000.
Prior to that he was Vice President for Business Risk, Compliance and Control at Citibank and Trading and Risk Management at UBS in Zurich and London.
He received a Master in economics and political sciences from University of St. Gallen (HSG), and a Master (lic.iur.) and PhD (Dr. iur.) in law from University of Berne. He also holds an MBA degree with concentration in Finance and Investments from Booth Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago. In addition, he obtained the Certificate of Advanced Studies in financial market law from University of Zurich and the Certificate in Financial Asset Management and Engineering from the Swiss Finance Institute.
